Pacifica Health and Medical's Health
Services division provides expert
patient support and placement of
Certified Nurses Aides, Certified
Home Health Aids, and professional
Caregivers in the home, nursing home, or at the hospital
after surgery or illness.
Pacifica Health Services most commonly provides companion
care and nursing services to the elderly as an alternative
to residential care facilities and convalescent homes.
As part of our menu of services we also provide
specialized services to patients in their home or hotel
room after elective or cosmetic surgery.
Care can be provided by our licensed and insured staff
on a long or short-term basis, as live-in services,
or as an hourly service. With our large staff of caregivers
and nurses we are typically able to respond to the
needs of our clients and staff cases within 24 hours.
Caregivers and nurses can be hired for four (4), eight
(8), or twelve (12)-hour shifts, or for a discounted
daily rate depending on the level of care provided,
and the type of caregiver or nurse requested.
Companion Care:
Companion care services are typically for elderly patients
that will benefit from some assistance in performing
daily tasks that become increasingly difficult as we
age.
Companion care services can be provided on an hourly
basis, as a daily service, or as live-in services for
any duration of time.
Pacifica Health Services' professional staff is able
to provide caregivers that are a "good fit" for the
individual patient based on the preferences of each
client.
We encourage our clients to provide us with feedback
regarding our nurses and caregivers and, as a policy,
we are always happy to replace any caregiver until
the client finds just the person they are looking for
to provide care for the patient.

Respite Care:
Respite care is short-term temporary care provided
to anyone who is ill or infirmed in any way, or for
people who are recovering from surgery or illness.
Respite care can be provided to children, adults, and
the elderly, and can even be provided for patients
who have undergone elective surgeries such as cosmetic
enhancements.
Because respite care is a service for such a broad
range of patients and for patients with varied needs
the types of caregivers/nurses that provide the care
varies depending on the individual case. Therefore
the cost associated
with each case will vary depending on the kind of service
and level of education needed to perform the appropriate
nursing care.
Respite care can be provided in the home, hospital,
hospice, nursing home or skilled nursing facility,
or even in a patient's hotel room.
Fees and Terms:
Pacifica Health and Medical is a full-service agency
that provides permanent placement employment services
as well as contract to hire, and hourly fee-based caregiver/nursing
services.
Caregivers of all levels can be hired for any period
of time or days.
For hourly, fee-based services Pacifica is able to
provide any level caregiver/nurse to our clients for
as long or short a period of time as the client would
like. There is a minimum charge/fee equivalent to four
hours of service.
For our clients that are interested in hiring a caregiver
or nurse directly, Pacifica has a "Temp to Hire" program
that allows the client to use our caregivers on an
hourly rate basis and eventually hire the caregiver
they prefer for a set fee.
Prices and fees vary depending on the terms of employment,
the level of caregiver hired, and the client's location.
Other factors, such as the amount of time a client
will need our services and the availability of the
requested type of caregiver, are considerations that
may determine the cost of services. |
