We offer staffing solutions to hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, care homes, hospice patients, and private-pay homemaker services. All of our nurses and caregivers have been personally interviewed by a qualified staff member and met stringent quality control requirements:

Pacifica Medical Staffing has a variety of staffing solutions to meet the particular needs of our clients. We offer custom-tailored services to meet the specific needs of each facility we work with.

All of our employees are supported by workers Compensation and Liability Insurance, bonded, and paid as employees of Pacifica Health and Medical, LLC. We never subcontract or pay personnel as independent contractors


Terms of Employment

How We Pay:
All nurses and caregivers are automatically eligible for same day pay benefits. For any shift worked a nurse/caregiver only needs to provide their signed time-slip (in person, via fax and e-mail) Pacifica we will immediately print a check that the employee can pick-up at the office or request to have mailed. This benefit is available every day the office is open from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Travel nurses and local travel nurses are eligible to receive daily pay for their hourly wage. Weekly stipends are paid every Friday.

Benefits:
Pacifica Health and Medical works with the Blumenthal Insurance Agency to give our nurses a choice of HMO and PPO insurance plans through Blue Cross. Employees eligible for insurance include all nurses on contract, and full-time office employees. Several plans are available that offer different levels and coverage to suite an employees particular needs. Our policy is to pay a percentage of the selected plan depending on the type of contract signed.

Requirements:
All nurses and caregivers are required to meet standards for employment that are equivalent to what is required of JCAHO-certified hospitals and staffing agencies. Requisites include, but are not limited to, on-site skills testing for an employees related field, HPPA and OSHA testing, current licenses and CPR, physical and PPD, clean drug screen and background check, and two references from an employer in a related field.

Application Process:
Applications for employment can be mailed to any prospective applicant but all testing and screening must be done onsite to ensure compliance with our clients and the standards we maintain as company policy. The entire application process can take as long as three hours depending on the specialty of the applicant, but once the application is completed, tests are graded, and references checked an employee is ready to work immediately at any of our contracted facilities.
